FANFARE FOR CHRISTMAS 2015

Published: October 27th, 2015

No sooner have we left the theatre after our enjoyable time retelling the dramatic tale of Jekyll And Hyde, but the Company is back into rehearsals without a break!

Yes, we have six frantic weeks ahead of us, during which our 2015 FANFARE FOR CHRISTMAS must take shape and be perfected.

Our usual Guests, the award-winning Haydock Silver Band, will be performing with us to put you into the festive mood at the GLADSTONE THEATRE, Port Sunlight, on TUESDAY 15TH DECEMBER.  Tickets are available directly from the Gladstone or from BOST.  As is our custom, the programme will feature traditional and contemporary songs, humorous pieces, well-known favourites and some new numbers.

The Company have much work ahead of them to learn the new songs and revise some which have proved particularly popular in previous years, while Soloists and Groups, having successfully auditioned their choices, must now hone them into BOST-worthy shape!

Audiences will be delighted to see and hear familiar singers who have previously delighted them with solos, and will make the acquaintance of a few new Members, who are excited to sing in their Fanfare debut performance.

The Concert will also be performed at two local Churches in Wirral, but without the Haydock Band’s presence.  These festive Fanfare For Christmas Evenings will take place at the Neston and Parkgate UR Church on Wednesday 16th and at St Stephen’s Church, Prenton on Thursday 17th December, where mince pies and mulled wine will be available to add to the experience!  Tickets to these two Concerts will be available directly from the Churches.

We all look forward to entertaining you at one of these venues and to sharing the Christmas spirit with you in true BOST style.
