Alan Maddox

Published: February 13th, 2015

Last Friday sadly saw the funeral of past member Alan Maddox, our leading man over many years.  He delighted audiences in roles such as Nathan Detroit in Guys And Dolls, Gabriel Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus, Colonel Pickering in My Fair Lady, Haaj in Kismet and – his own favourite – the king of Siam in The King And I.

Ever a larger-than-life personality, Alan was the life and soul of the party, or of any gathering for that matter, and rehearsals were always more enjoyable for having him within the cast!

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him at BOST, and especially by those who had the good fortune to share a stage with him.
